Yesterday, March 29th, 2008, I posted (since removed) and sent an email to Ryan Farish expressing my concerns for what I perceived to be very anti-consumer behavior. What was the problem you ask? To sum it up briefly: he released a new single to an already established album, which is available as an album-only purchase (you must buy the complete album, no option to purchase individual tracks). So, if you had already purchased the album just days before the new track was released, like I did, you would now have to purchase the album again to get the new song. Well, it's his store, he has every right to sell his music the way he wants, and... you don't have to buy his music. True, but I honestly believe that independent artists need all the sales they can get... taking part in what I called "anti-consumer behavior" doesn't bring back repeat customers, it abuses them. Results... This afternoon, I recieved a reply from Ryan, apologizing for this incident... and thanking me for bringing this situation to his attention! I wrote back to thank him for taking time to personally reply to my comments, and that I appreciated his actions... ... I'm happy to announce that, for a limited time, Ryan's newest single "In This Moment" is available as a single download for $1.29, or as part of the "WONDERFALL" pre-release album.
